about

Scottish DJ turned Forbes 30/30 honored social entrepreneur, Robbie Tolson founded Turn The Tables after losing a friend to suicide.

In recovery, Robbie found a passion for helping others and was determined to be more than just a DJ.

This mission led him to volunteer, running DJ workshops in a local homeless shelter. The budding DJs Robbie trained there would later go on to DJ for Red Bull, sports events, leading European music festivals and even provide musical entertainment at two of Prince William’s Royal Foundation events.

Six years later, Turn The Tables delivers programmes for a variety of public and third sector services in the UK. Including homelessness, youth poverty, mental health, criminal rehabilitation and disabilities.

And we’re now on a mission to spread our impact across the pond.

how?

What makes DJing so powerful is unlike traditional instruments, DJing is relatively straight forward to learn. You can also use the decks to play any genre of music.

Our musical approach brings inclusion, dignity, and hope to our beneficiaries.

It all starts locally, in our weekly educational workshops and drop-in sessions. Helping our budding DJs build routines and structure in their lives while they take their first steps into the world of DJing and musical education.

As their confidence grows we explore the professional side of DJing & digital music. Building skills and experience needed to perform their own DJ sets in front of an audience.

Eventually enabling beneficiaries to be paid to perform at leading music, sports and entertainment events. Inspiring us all and proving to the world that nobody should be overlooked.
